BL-53-01 Intergenerational Family Legacies
In all families, the shame of past sins is passed on to the next
generations. We don't see them readily, but they form the secrets of our dysfunctions. This is a frank and open
discussion of how to come to the truth about these past sins and how they affect out own lives. The three main lies
we live by are often (1) don't' talk, (2) don't trust, an (3) don't feel. Lyn shows how the power of God is greater than
our sins and can lead us out of the problems passed on to us.
BL-53-02 Honoring Our Children
What are the six basic needs of children? 1) Ongoing nurturing
in a relationship, prenatal and waking hours for a baby. 2) Need for physical safety and protection. 3) Need
for individual experiences tailored for each child. 4) Need for are appropriate experiences. 5) Need for limit
setting. 6) Need a stable community environment. and Lyn says we need to honor out adult children.
BL-53-03 Addictions and Demonic Oppression
Addictions are passions, a type of idolatry where things take on
a greater significance than God. There are seven common symptoms of addiction. 1) Denial. 2) Need more
to get the same effect. 3) Moral values lowered and abandoned. 4) Spiritual bankruptcy. 5) Isolation -
Neglect of social, occupational and other responsibilities. (6 Compulsion to engage in the addiction. 7( The inability
to shop despite dire consequences. Lyn also discusses codependency, intervention and prevention. Also comments on how the
demons pry on our lack of faith by using the addictions against us.
BL-53-04 The Healing Process: Freedom in Christ
Healing is getting to the point of delight and joy. What
can we actually do for recovery? Tips on how to return to normal life (sleep, food, and schedule) and on finding a
good counselor.
This teaching, Moral Issues and the Christian Family: Stages of the Christian Moral
Law, is up to date on the latest moral dilemmas of our day. The material is scientific without being too technical
and theological without being heavy. It’s practical and sensitive teaching that will help you understand the current
