The Gospel of John is very different from the other three gospels. This presentation shows how unique it is and why all the theology of the church concerning Christ and the Church is based on John. The first session is a wonderful presentation of the Bible and how the Tradition of the Church and Scripture work together. Session 2 is an overall view of John and why it is such a unique book.
The last two sessions are a verse by verse exegesis of John chapters 8 and 10. Fr Michael skillfully uses the commentaries of Ignatius of Antioch, St John Chrysostom, St Cyril and St Augustine to tell what the view of the church has been on this scripture for the past 1500 years. There is a great deal of audience participation but most of it is hearable .
