The Saints of Old Britain:
Especially Wales
2005 Clergy Retreat in Wichita, Kansas
Archimandrite Deiniol
Every village and town in Wales is named after a
saint. In ancient Britain, the conversion of the locals produced an incredible longing
for the spiritual life and Christianity spread from Britain throughout the whole
world. This is fascinating look at the history of Britain from the time of the Roman
conquest to the spiritual holy sites of Wales today. The 324 photos and maps allow
one to see what is being explained.
Fr Deniol is a friend of Prince Charles and was
asked to give the invocation at the opening of the Welch general assembly when it
convened after a several hundred year interval. He is well known in Europe and you
will be encouraged by his lively and energetic stories of saints and sinners.
